I had not been there for my son who had been 4 years old when my wife was diagnosed, and he had basically watched his mother try to fight off the cancer until the end.

The sorrow and guilt were two things I wrestled with as I traveled, and continue to travel, this journey to healing. And in the midst of some of my worst days I would hear from Lauren and she would lift me up and remind me to keep going.

The past three years I consider my reconnecting years. I ended up leaving my career, taking some much needed time to connect with my son and now I am working on helping others, I am working on, how I can as a human being make this world a better place.

One of the ways I am doing this is by raising money for an amazing organization Camp Kesem, a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.

I will be pushing myself- body, mind, soul, and biking across the country from Santa Monica, CA to Coney Island, NY and will be gathering sponsorships and donations along the way. I will be alone, I have no one following me in an RV, I have a tent and some supplies, my bike and me and that’s it! You can read more about that and even lend your support at Highway2Heal

When I found out about Adventure Therapy’s BE A CHALLENGER 5K RACE, I jumped on board! I would do anything, this side of legal, to help support the amazing and vital work Lauren is doing!
